Join or Renew
Being a member of the MLA gives you access to MLA publications like the MLA Handbook and PMLA, enables you to register for the convention at discounted rates, and allows you to qualify for travel grants. Participate in the MLA Convention
The MLA Annual Convention is the largest scholarly meeting in the humanities and brings together thousands of researchers working in a wide range of language and literature fields. The 2019 convention will be held in Chicago from 3 to 6 January, and the presidential theme is Textual Transactions. Visit the MLA 2019 page for information about the 2019 meeting.
Submit an Article or Book Proposal
The MLA’s prestigious publishing program includes its flagship journal, PMLA; Profession, a journal about the fields of languages and literatures as a profession; the ADE and ADFL bulletins; and a range of book series that support teaching and research in the modern languages and literatures.
